Christmas Celebration 2015

It is estimated the 650 people gathered in the main sports hall at Belper Leisure Centre on the evening of 5th December last year to celebrate Christmas! Nearly 100 children from local primary schools came together to form 'One Voice Children's Choir', accompanied by York City Gospel Choir.

Belper School performed a well-rehearsed play written by our pastor, called 'Over The Hill'.

Tickets were sold for £2 and all the money raised was to support local schools and charities with all the running costs covered by our church.

The event raised £1085 for local schools and charities. Belper School, Herbert Strutts, Pottery School and Parkside

Schools are all allocated £250 each and Oxfam received £85.

Our sincere thanks to everyone who helped us put this event on and especially to all the local children for their hard work in rehearsing songs and drama.

Having been asked by one young lady at Strutts School 'Can we do it again soon?', it was agreed 'Yes, lets!'

So 'Sing Out for Christmas' is planned provisionally for the 10th December 2016!
